Colin Owens was born on March 9, 1973 in Boston, Massachusetts. He studied
music, photography, and graphic design at the School of the Museum of
Fines Arts, Boston and Tufts University. He released his first album,
"Blind VR" at the tender age of 19 in 1993. Written almost solely by Colin,
"Blind VR" rode the Alternative Press charts for three consecutive months.
He also fronted live band of "Blind VR" and with the help of Jared Dubrino
toured the Northeast rave and club scene, blowing away the house with
live video cutting and computer animation.
Most recently, Colin
released the album "Spaghetti Western", a collection of recordings for
soundtracks, most of which feature in Todd Verow's award-winning films.
The music of Spaghetti Western, featuring his father, John Owens on
guitar, provides a sweeping array of soundscapes that add to the urgency
of Verow's films. |
